Now Awailable: Our Report on China´s Military Buildup

Our report, published on January 23, is more timely than ever, with President Donald J. Trump's yesterday´s announcement of Building America’s Next-Generation Missile Defense Shield.

In our report on China's Military Buildup for War, we made these recommendations that are also included in Trump's Executive Order to build the Iron Dome for America:

"The increasing pace of expansion of PLARF´s (People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force) nuclear, conventional, and innovative missile systems highlights how urgent proactive measures such as missile defense upgrades are to align missile tracking, detection, and discriminatory capabilities."

and

"Missile modernization in China is one of the fundamental cornerstones of its military expansion and it carries significant dangers for both regional stability and global security. The PRC systematically improves its missile development technology, so the US and its allies must adjust countermeasures like working together on missile development, reopening innovation in missiles, and boosting its missile shield capability to help reduce potential wars to the greatest extent possible. One thing is certain: the trajectory of China’s missile programs will affect global security and the defense landscape for years to come."

And in the Recommendations Section of our Report:

"Allocate sufficient financial resources towards technologies that are pivotal for modern warfare, including hypersonic weapons, robotic warfare, and missile defense systems [...]
Encourage joint research initiatives with international partners to increase the speed of development and access to defense innovations."

In the report, we also take a closer look at the latest generation of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) with Fractional Orbital Bombardment Systems (FOBS): The Pentagon confirmed tests by the PLA of hypersonic glide vehicles paired with ICBMs in a demonstration of a FOBS: A major threat, as these missile types can evade US anti-ballistic missile (ABM) systems and terrestrial tracking by approaching targets from unexpected directions and performing significant maneuvers changing directions and altitude during the gliding phase.
